DAVID BLIGH BVSc
David completed his Bachelor of Veterinary Science degree at Sydney University in 1985, and graduated with honours.
His first position was in the Upper Hunter Valley where he worked in a mixed practice treating large & small animals including cats, dogs, horses & cattle.
David spent 3 years overseas travelling & working based in Britain. On returning to Australia he worked in the Sutherland Shire of Sydney for 4 years. He then purchased Rathmines Veterinary Hospital in 1993 and has worked here since.
David enjoys golf, tennis and endurance events like Oxfam Trailwalker, which he has completed 7 times.
DAVID CLIFFORD MVB
David joins our team after spending the past few years working in clinics in the central coast and Newcastle. Originally from Cork, on the southern coast of Ireland, he graduated from University College Dublin and shortly after moved to Australia, where he now calls home.
David and his partner, Emma share their lives with their two beloved Kelpies, Penny and Seamus as well as four cats - Jackie, Dora, Meg and Clarice.
Clinically, David has a wide range of interests including diagnostic imaging (x-ray interpretation); surgical treatment to improve the quality of life of patients; medical management of routine and more complex disease conditions, including endocrine disorders; chronic illnesses and dermatology cases as well as implementing pain management strategies for patients suffering with conditions including arthritis and other sources of chronic pain.
When not at work or spending time with Emma, David can be found hanging-out with his dogs; scuba diving and catching-up with friends.
CRYSTAL WALKER -- Veterinary Nurse
Crystal has been showing dogs since she was eight years old. In 2008 she represented Australia and competed in Junior Handling in Birmingham, England then eight weeks later went to Stockholm, Sweden to compete. She has travelled to many different countries to handle people's dogs for them.
Crystal has five Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers, Jeannie, Cruise, Maple, Max and Maddy. She regularly shows them at shows including the Sydney Royal Easter Show.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, reading, and travelling.
CAROLYN DUFFY -- Veterinary Nurse
She has a Jack Russell named Roxy, and a Rottweiler named Echo.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her dogs, taking them to the beach and walks in the park.
Carolyn and her partner Matt welcomed their baby boy Layken into the world in January 2015.
Hayley is currently studying Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing through Open Collages. She started working here in June 2017 after doing work experience.
She has a Bull Arab X named Soku and Two cats named Sammy and Sebastian.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends and Travelling.
